California Gold Star Families
California Gold Star Families from all conflicts are working together to get the state of
California to authorize a Gold Star Family License plate for California Gold Star Family
members.
While there are many opinions about the politics of war, we are a non-partisan,
non-political group formed January 2008 primarily to organize to work together on
issues that affect California Gold Star Families. Political and partisan discussions will
take place elsewhere.
Some states have authorized Gold Star license plates only for Gold Star mothers, but
we feel all family members suffer from this loss.
For the purposes of obtaining a CA Gold Star Family license plate, our goal is that the
following family members would be eligible:
Widow, Widower, Biological parent, Adoptive parent, Stepparent, Foster parent in
loco parentis. Biological child, Adoptive child, Stepchild, Sibling, Half-sibling,
Grandparent, Grandchild.
